Admission to MA & M.Phil
Admission to the MA programmes of the School are based on the qualifying marks obtained by the student and an entrance test cum interview with equal weight being assigned to both these components. Reservation rules of the government of Kerala apply. The programmes are advertised by the University every year and normally admission closes within reasonable time of the declaration of the undergraduate results of Mahatma Gandhi University, usually end of July every year. The students admitted to the post-graduate programmes have the option of taking modules from other departments of the University as electives. This makes it possible for students to enrol for an optimal combination of modules that agrees with one’s choice and interests. Admission to M.Phil is done as in the case of the Masters programmes and it normally takes place in August. The duration of the M.Phil programme offered by the school is one year.
Admission Requirements
MA Social Work/ MSW either generic or with any field of specialisation with a minimum of 55% of marks in aggregate.
