Alumni Association of SGTDS

Yesterday, we had a gathering of the former students of School of Gandhian Thought and Development Studies  at the newly inaugurated seminar hall, Gandhi Bhavan, Mahatma Gandhi University.  Dr. M. P. Mathai, professor of Gandhian Philosophy, Gujarat Vidyapith, gave the presidential addrees.
Dr. M. P. Mathai asks the students to come out for
spreading the message of Gandhiji across the country.
In the meeting, the decision has been tken to form an Alumni Association of SGTDS. Mr. Jacob George and Shri. Abhilas Babu (currently teaches at SGTDS) are selected to be the President and Secratary of the Association respectively.
The meeting had the presence of eminent former students such as Stephen George (Ex-MLA) and . From the profile of the former students itslef, it is clear that students of SGTDS are able to mark their unique presence in different walks of life.
The students of Gandhian Studies had to face a lot of social taboos and stereotyping in order to come to the forefront of social science praxis in India. Now, they have successfully found jobs with many leading NGOs and other reputed organisations from acrosss the country.
We hope that SGTDS would produce more and more refined souls and thereby explolre an alternate path...
Prf. M. S John, the Director of  SGTDS
